We are looking for a motivated and versatile individual for the role of Associate who is willing to take ownership of projects and contribute across research, stakeholder engagement, programme implementation and organisational development.
The Associate will report directly to the Managing Director and will play a key role in representing the organisation, managing projects, coordinating with stakeholders and leading small teams. This is an ideal opportunity for an early to mid-career professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment where every team member contributes beyond a narrowly defined job description.
The selected candidate will be expected to:
Lead and coordinate assigned projects and activities from planning through implementation.
Build and maintain professional relationships with government departments, local authorities, development partners, academic institutions and civil society organisations.
Organise and facilitate stakeholder consultations, workshops, meetings and community engagement activities.
Lead, mentor and coordinate project teams, interns and volunteers.
Conduct research, analyse data and prepare reports, presentations and other related documents.
Prepare and maintain project Management Information System (MIS) reports and dashboards.
Represent Purvca Foundation at meetings, conferences, workshops, public events and media interactions.
Engage professionally with senior government officials, community leaders, development partners and the press.
Plan and undertake field visits across India, as required.
Support organisational communication through social media, website content and public outreach initiatives.
Contribute to organisational planning, monitoring, documentation and reporting.
Explore business development opportunities.
Applicants should possess:
A Master's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Environmental Studies, Mass Communications or another relevant discipline.
2–5 years of relevant professional experience in the development sector, project management,stakeholder engagement, public policy, research, urban development, transportation, communications or related fields.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both Assamese and English. Knowledge of other Northeast Indian languages will be an added advantage.
Demonstrated experience managing or coordinating small teams, interns or volunteers.
Ability to conduct research, analyse information and present findings clearly.
Strong report writing, presentation and documentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Willingness to travel as and when required.
