Objective
We are seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join us as our Ambassadors. The role of an Ambassador is to inspire and mobilize citizens of Assam to make our urban areas more affordable, safe, clean, livable, and sustainable. Ambassadors will take on leadership roles within their cities/ wards to promote and advocate for cycling, walking, and public transportation, to contribute to road safety and climate action.

Key Responsibilities
Advocacy and Awareness: Encourage people within their communities to adopt cycling, walking, and public transportation as their primary modes of transport.
Communication: Speak, write, or share information about the importance and necessity of active mobility, public transportation, road safety, and climate resilience.
Event Organization: Help organize and participate in events, activities, and campaigns that align with the foundation’s objectives, at both local and city levels.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with local authorities and other stakeholders to improve infrastructure and facilities for walking, cycling, public transportation, and road safety.
Community Leadership: Serve as a local leader and engage fellow citizens in dialogues and actions that promote sustainable urban living.
Time : Dedicate 3 to 6 hours a week regularly.
Eligibility
To qualify for the role of Purvca Ambassador, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Nationality : Must be an Indian national and a native of Assam (need not currently reside in Assam).
Gender : Open to all genders.
Age : 18 and above.
Educational qualification: Minimum HS/10+2 or above.
Language : English along with any one or two of other major languages spoken in Assam
Tenure
Ambassadors will hold the position for a tenure of 2 years. The tenure may change based on performance and mutual agreement.
Selection Process
The selection process involves:
Phase 1: Submission of an online application form.
Phase 2: A personal interview conducted by a panel of interviewers. Will be intimated later.
Recognition and Support
Ambassadors’ names and profiles will be featured on the Purvca Foundation website.
The names of selected Ambassadors will be announced in local media and across Purvca Foundation’s social media platforms.
Ambassadors will represent Purvca Foundation in their city and in activities related to the organization’s focus areas.
About the Position
The Purvca Ambassador role is voluntary, honorary, and non-political.
No financial support or salary will be provided for this position.
The position does not grant any special privileges or preferential treatment.
Work will be appreciated and supported when it aligns with the values of community service, collective decision-making, and teamwork, in pursuit of Purvca Foundation’s goals.
