It was started as a Facebook group to share information about cyclists, cycling routes and other technical information about cycling
Pedal for a Change was registered as a Trust with 3 founding members.
Celebrated World Bicycle Day (3rd June 2019) at Guwahati, with a full day program (conclave, music show, movie show, stunt show, etc).
Organised the 1st edition of Open Streets Guwahati in association with ESAF Foundation
Initiated and organised We Too Campaigns at Guwahati
Organised 2nd & 3rd editions of Open Streets Guwahati
Initiated and organised a few sessions of Pedal Talks (online discussion) during the Covid pandemic induced lockdown.
Bicycle Councillors of Guwahati program launched. 1st cohort selected.
Guwahati Active Mobility Forum (GAMOF) formed with the Bicycle Councillors, Ambassadors, Mentors and Advisors
Organised 4th & 5th editions of Open Streets Guwahati

The name of GAMOF changed from Guwahati Active Mobility Forum to Green and Active Mobility Forum
Conceived and organised the 1st edition of North East Cycling Awards.
One of the winners of the 1st ACCLIMATE Challenge Fund, initiated by Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation and powered by Intellicap, to find and support Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in India who are committed to expanding their work on various aspects of climate change.
Organised 7th & 8th editions of Open Streets Guwahati
GAMOF was incorporated with Pedal for a Change as its Research, Policy Analysis and Advocacy division
The name of Bicycle Councillors and Ambassadors updated to Ambassadors - Active Mobility
A formal Governance structure of Pedal for a Change was prepared
We transitioned to PURVCA
It is registered as Purvca Foundation under Section 8 of Companies Act 2013
We received our 80G and 12A certificates
The Ambassadors program was expanded to invite citizens to join us to promote and advocate for Active Mobility, Public Transportation, Road Safety and Climate Action
We started work on our Eco Move NE program
We started a new initiative Walk for a Change to promote walking as a pillar of sustainable mobility
